job interview.. HELLPPPP,

I'm 17 almost 18, and I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I also have a job interview at ardenes tomorrow.
I havent decided whether I should or shouldn't tell them I'm pregnant or not.
I dont want to be discriminated against for being pregnant, and if I wait for an offer then tell them, my pregnancy wouldnt of caused me to lose the position. Atleast if I didnt get it I would know it wouldnt be because of my pregnancy. But I dont want to make them angry and have them find a "legal" reason to fire me.. can I be fired for not telling them? I live in British columbia. Some people say its different all over.
Or I could tell them and take the chance that they pobably wont hire me.
Or I could tell them when I start showing more that I didnt know I was pregnant until after I took the job offer and tell them Im earlier in my pregnancy then I actually am? :/
Im really stressing out about this, because I really need/want this job. My fiancee is from texas so he cant work yet here in Canada or do anything until we figure out how hes gonna stay here. I could sponsor him, but not without a job..

I would tell them. If you dont, they could have you heavy lifting & doing things a pregnant woman should not be doing. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your opinion. My aunt is a Manager at ardenes but she lives in pretty much a different land, and suggested not to tell them, and said they'd likely base giving me the job on my pregnancy. So I've decided not to say anything until after. If they fire me afterwards, then I guess I wouldn't want to work anywhere who wouldn't give me a job because of my beautiful baby anyways. :)

I'd suggest not telling them that your pregnant during the interview. Wait for the offer and then discuss it. If they ask about any time off or leave that you'd need you have to be honest with them. Your due date will have a big impact on that. I was fired after telling my employer I was pregnant because I'd be on maternity leave over Christmas. In my contract it was stated that there is no leave during that time at all. You should be fine though. :)

From experience I hate to tell you this bc I think it's better to ne upfront HOWEVER, I think you should not tell them. Even though they can't say anything and can not hire you gor any reason that'll be the perfect reason not to just go to the interview be yourself make a good impression. I had 5 interviews between 5-6 months with my first child and I couldn't hide it I was clearly pregnant and no one hired me and all of them asked when I was due and didn't like that id be on maternity leave during a holiday etc your not lieing and I think it'll give you a much better chance to get the job. Good luck huny! :-) I hope you have a great interview ;-)

In texas its not illegal to not tell them but yah that's why I cant get a job cause I thought I would try to be honest and tell them and I've already had 3 good jobs turn me down cause I was pregnant. I would just tell them later on and say u didn't know
