jogging!

Just got clearance from my midwife to start jogging and I'm so excited! I took it way too easy with my last pregnancy and ended up gaining fifty or sixty pounds! This time I'm determined to keep my weight gain low since I'm overweight to begin with.
I haven't jogged regularly for about five years and would appreciate recommendations about stretching, belly support, etc. My midwife just told me to start slow and ease into it (jog one minute, walk three minutes sort of thing). Thanks ladies!

I'm only nine weeks, and I hope the nausea goes away soon. I was told by my nurse that exercise is one of the best things to do while pregnant... helps with delivery and bouncing back after birth. Good luck! And just don't push yourself too hard.

I'm just getting over mine now. It's been three whole days since I threw up! But I threw up about weekly with my daughter so I'm not expecting it to go away completely. I ran the 1600 meter in high school and loved training for it. I was never particularly fast but I was definitely in shape!
I had a pre-pregnancy goal to be able to jog to my mom's house (about 1 1/2 miles from mine) by the end of summer. Now that I have permission to jog maybe I can still achieve that!

Kudos to you hun! I hate jogging/ running. I'd much rather amp up the height and resistance on the elliptical than run. But I've been too nauseous to keep up with housework let alone work out. I'm hoping when I get over this morning sickness I can start back up with my workouts.
