LABOR STORY!- yesterday around 3am, I had 4 pregnancy symptoms hitting me all the same time...only giving me 3-4 hours of sleep. Around 7am, I started my day as normal...took husband to work, etc. Everything was as normal, except our black lab whining. I thought well okay, I'll just let him out. He came back in and still was fussing. I ate, & laid back in bed..looking at pregnancy forums. About 9am, I sneezed and I had a gush. I started losing my mucus plug, & I continued to have gushes. I called labor and delivery, & I was told to come in. Thankfully, my husband was done with work by then. 30 minutes later, it was confirmed that my water definitely broke, & I was 1cm. I was having contractions but not enough to jump on the screen so I was given a small pill to get the contractions really going being that it was like 4 hours since my water had broke. I had iv meds and tried to labor in the tub, but I was in too much pain so I got an epidural. I didn't feel any of my contractions at all from that moment. 2 hours later, I was 2 cm. 2 more hours later, I was a 4. 3 hours later, I was a 9. By then, it was 10pm. At 10:30, my body was ready to push. 11:10pm, here comes baby Cameron. The nurse and doctors had to tell me when to push cause I couldn't feel my contractions, and I was pushing 4-5 times during each contraction. No tear or stitches at all. They took my epidural out as soon as I was cleaned up, etc. By 3am, I was walking on my own and I feel great aside from being a little crampy. Cameron loves to sleep, & is doing well for breastfeeding...still learning but doing very good.
