Oh and her daughter was just around 2 pounds being born at 32 weeks!
One of my best friends had her baby at 32 weeks. She had fallen down the stairs and went in, they found the cord was wrapped around her daughter neck. Long story short, after 3 days they did a c-section. Her daughter was in the nicu for 4 months. It was really hard on her and her family. But 5 years later, she is super healthy and has no problems. She is extremely tiny (thin and tall) and her younger sister who just turned 2 weighs more than she does. I will make sure to keep your baby!
Thank you ladies. Hopefully the test is negative but if not I know he won't be that small. When I was 28 weeks he was already weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces. As long as I can bring him home eventually I'll be grateful
I know all babies aren't the same, but I'm 33 weeks and my baby is 4lbs 11ounces.... Like she said nicu just depends on how little your baby is at birth. But odds are your baby will be fine, just little
odds are you will have a nicu baby. babies barely weigh 3lbs that early and tend to be put on breathing support and in incubators bc their bodies cannot keep their tempterature up. it's a long road and the baby cannot leave until they are 5lbs and stable, but odds of survival are very good at that point. it's just exhausting having to go home every night without your child while they stay in the nicu. im sorry momma for what youre going through.
