lactose intolerant

Could being pregnant make me become lactose intolerant? Also would that mean my baby is too?

36 weeks + 5 days & skim milk helps for me, I barely dampin my cereal w/ it & use a strainer spoon. I miss chocolate milk! It's just milk for me though it gives me "gas that won't pass" just bloats me. I could eat a block of cheese though & be just fine. I hope it goes away! My sister-in-law became in lactose intolerant with her first baby while an old teacher of mine became lactose intolerant with pregnancy. Pregnancy changes our bodies!

Yes its possible but it doesn't mean your baby will be. I couldn't handle any dairy while pregnant either but after i had him it went away n he is on similac sensitive because it has less lactose then the regular but his pedi said it should fade by 6months
