Iron pills & anterior placenta...

So I'm having my 3rd c-section on the first, my dr today put me on iron pills he said I'm slightly anemic, what are side effects of it? I've never had to take before he said if I go into labor before that he doesn't think I'll need any transfusion but its a just in case. Also, he said I have an anterior placenta has anyone had a c section with that? I'm already nervous as it is

My doc told me the same thing, slightly anemic, I am on 325mg it hasn't made me constipated but did make my poop like a blackish green and has not made me nauseous as of yet and I have been on them for a few weeks now. Hope that helps answer ur question,  good luck hun!

Did they make you nauseated ? Also do you remember your dosage, the one I was given seems extremely high if I'm only slightly anemic

The iron tablets i got put on after my section because i lost a lot of pv blood, it soaked the bed through the pads and everything :-( theres not many side effects from iron tablets except they may make you a bit constipated and they will definitely make your poop black.  I can't help you with the anterior placenta part though Im afraid x
