I had both.
With my first  i got the epidural. It sorta helped, the numbing wore off when my son's  head started to crown.
With my second i got the gas. I was blessed to experience  the delivery  without Pain relievers.

Not sure.  I don't hear of gas given very often.  That is a question for your doctor.  My mother in law (who might be a tad bit on the kookoo side) swears that when she had her twins---  my husband's brother came first with no issue, my husband wasn't coming as easy so they gave her the gas and she says that 'made him different'.  LOL  I have no idea what she is talking about but SHE says no gas.

(like I said, best to ask your doctor rather than people just saying things like that).  good luck hon
