UPDATE on U/S today and a question!!!
I went for my first ultrasound today and it was so amazing!!! My lil bugger was moving like crazy, arms waving everywhere, moving his/her head, stretching out those legs, it was tooooooo cute! Thankfully my bladder wasn't too full, so I was able to enjoy the experience. lol. I thought the tech's aren't suppose to say much, but this lady was really nice and told me the baby looked very healthy and the placenta looks great. Also, the heart rate is 150, and because the baby was so active, I assume that was at a high point, and if that's the case, my guess is it's a boy...but ya never know! =) They took some measurments and my midwife will call me with the results. s/he looked so perfect and I was so thankful to God that everything looked great.
Now...I went this morning thinking I was 11w 5d or somewhere right around there according to my LMP.
I am 13 weeks!!!!!! Holy cow....I had a feeling I was further along, but 13 weeks already?? I'm already in the 2nd trimester. Crazy!! But according to my last LMP, I shouldn't be anymore than11 or 12 weeks. I had it Jan. 2.....how in the world could I have gotten pregnant before my period? I mean my cycles are very regular and it was a very normal period. Do you think the baby is just big? and I did conceive in Jan? Or could I have conceived in Dec. and had was bleeding?
I'm really confused. But anyway, my new due date is Sept. 30 instead of Oct. 9. WOW!!!
Either way, I am so excited! My b-day is on Sept. 21 so I should be having the baby sometime around there probably! =)

motherofan...It's either I got preggo on my cycle (which would be weird, cause hubby and I never do that, ok maybe like once or twice...lol) or I just have a really big baby. I'm thinking maybe we did the deed right before my cycle started and it happened that way since sperm can live up to 4 or 5 days? I could guess at this forever...lol. It doesn't matter though, I have a healthy baby and pray I continue to have a healthy pregnancy! =)

when i got preggo with ds they told me i conceived while i was on my period! i had a period on sept. 15th and they told me i conceived around the 17th which would have made my dates right!!!
GRose, I hear ya. I think it would be nice if I'm having another boy, just for Jeremiah! Daddy thinks he is too sensitive and he needs a brother to help toughen him up a little. lol. What do you expect, he is with me all day and I'm a softy!! =) It's funny because, my little brother (he is 7) comes over sometimes and brings his army guy toys and stuff, and Jeremiah is terrified of them! lol. He screams and cries but hand him a stuffed animal or a doll from my sister, and he is fine...LOL. What have I done to him??? A brother would be good for him.... and they would be best buddies! =)
I am so happy that the baby looked healthy and had a strong heartbeat, great news! Congrats!! I've got no advice on the dates other than they can be off by a few days. I think you should have another boy so Jeremiah can have a life long buddy, not that girls and boys cant be buddies but you know what I mean :)
lol Tabitha! I don't know how my husband has so much patience with it...if it were up to me, I would find out asap. But a part of me wants to be shocked as well...and I am going to try to hold out. So your guess is a girl? =) If so...I will have a LOT of shopping to do once the baby gets here!! lol. I have everything for a boy, but absolutely nothing for a girl. A girl would be nice though. =)
BTW- my guess is girl! I think you need some balance:) Although I loved having a boy the 2nd time around, Tristan and Hunter are such good friends (when they arent fighting, lol)
I have no patience:( I would go nutz if we werent able to find out for some reason! I remember being little and having those cabbage patch babies that we surpises!! You never knew what you we getting untill you put diaper (I dont remember exactly what) in water and it either came out pink or blue. I couldnt get the box open fast enough, lol!! I love surprises I just dont have patience:(
Thanks ladies!! =) I am just very happy things are going smoothly! Linzola...we are actually going to keep this baby a suprise this time. With my son, I found out around 30 weeks, but hubby wanted to be suprised...this time I truly want to be shocked!! =) I guess we will have to wait and see. My prediction is boy and hubby seems to think boy as well, but a few people have said girl. We'll find out in sept or oct! =)
YAY Im so excited! Mybe you concieved on AF! AHHHHHHHHh I am so excited for you! Cant wait to hear in a few weeks the sex of the baby!
The techs are allowed to talk about the good news. They just can't diagnose or tell you about any problems they see. They have to let a doctor check those over and then the doctor talks to you about that stuff. Thankfully it sounds like everything is going great!

Yay congrats! I bet it was super exciting! And hey you probably will have your baby super close to your bday! My bday is in Sept. as well the 12th to be exact and my baby is due on the 28th. Lol Soooo I'm thinkin either I'm gonna spend my 22nd bday in the hospital delivering my baby =] Heheh... I figured baby will come early cause I came a month and a few days early. So who knows... But again Congrats =]
my scan was accurate around 6 weeks ( ruling out another ectopic ) and 8 days out when i hit 13 weeks, big baby i thought but he was spot on 18 weeks at my last scan, which is where he's upto based on my lmp

Thank you!! Yes, I agree, a healthy baby is all that matters! And since it is still pretty early, I'm sure it's pretty accurate. The tech went over it several times to make sure she wasn't missing something. Makes time seem like it's flying by. lol. I wonder if that's the reason I am feeling so much movement and flutters so early on. I thought it was a little strange at first, but now it would make sense. =)
Congrats...like the other ladies...I can't help you with the dates, BUT the earlier an u/s is done, the more accurate it is and the later it is done, it can give or take a week. Regardless, baby is healthy and that is all that matters!
I cant help you wih the dates either...but I am so happy for you that everything went good and I hope it continues to do so.
Yeah!!! Im so excited for you!!! With regards to u/s dating, they have always changed my EDD according to my u/s. they are generaly closer to accurate for me as I have never made it to my due date according to my LMP. Although this time around I an u/s and they gave me a due date 2 days later than it is according to my LMP, weird:) I would say that you didnt concieve before your period, but that your baby is measuring a little bigger! But hey 9 days sooner to give birth!! I'll take it, lol!! Welcome to the 2nd trimester!!!!!!
BTW- August is the same for my family, I have at least 13 people in my family born in August,plus a few friends, thats not including Dalton born August 29th on my cousin Timothy's birthday or this one now thats due August 20th-August 23. My sister is the 21st and my grandma is the 25th.

I wanted to add one other thing to my post...I guess I could have conceived while I was on my period? I don't think this has ever happened to me. Even the tech was like...are you SURE your period was on Jan. 2? I always write it down, so I know that's when I got it. I'm lost...lol.
Thanks Amy!! I am in the process right now of uploading the pic of the baby and my new belly pics. My sister's b-day sept. 22...we are 13 years and 1 day apart. And I know sooo many people who have birthdays in sept. It really is a great month! lol
Also, my birthday is Sept. 12th so YAY for September birthdays lol, it's a great month!
