maternity leave

I was wondering how many months do you have to be to go on maternity leave for work? Some people tell me i should leave when im 6 1/2 months pregnant since i do massage therapy.

Seriously I heard you can go at 7month. I hate work an been looking forward to maternety leave. Uk as well

Going up to the last day I can. All my time is accrued leave so anything I use before she's born I lose for after. US is so messed up when it comes to having kids! Everywhere else I hear about gets months or even years off paid. I'm lucky I can take 9 weeks!

I live in Ohio and most woman I've seen work til either a week or two before their due date or alot actually work til their due date or go in labor!! :(. I work in a nursing home and will be taking a work as needed position in January right after Christmas.

it depends on whn u want to take it i think.... im in texas and u can take it aslong as the doc signs off on ur paper wrk but me i dnt see no need in just not wrking my due date is sunday and im sitting at wrk now my last day is tomorrow but thats because i feel its my responsibility so its really up to u and the doc

If ur in the UK u can go on mat leave officially from 29 weeks (11w before ur due) tho it can be brought forward if there's complications etc x

I work in a nursing home and I'm going on mat leave at 35w + 3d tho I'm taking 2 weeks annual leave before that so ill actually be off for 33w + 3d. I've dropped my hours down to 30 instead of 40 for these last few weeks because I'm finding it hard and feeling bad that I can't do stuff to help my colleagues.

29 weeks is when my maternity pay will start thats for the UK
