military moms, anyone stay at home with their fam for their birth? please read

I'm 34wks pregnant and my husband and I live in california, I came home to visit all of my family in illinois and for my baby shower. My husbands work schedule is constantly changing but I know he gets 10 days paternity leave and also has the option to use some leave days he has set aside consecutively with paternity leave.

Being home and being within 10 minutes of every family member I have, makes m feel a lot more comfortable and less isolated and anxious than I did in california.

Would it be wrong of me to ask my husband t tack on a few leave days and come to illinois (his family lives in michigan which would be beneficial for him too) and have the baby out here with all my support and then his family could visit easier too? I would fly back to california after my sons 2 week shots which I was told would be safe.

It just seems much more logical because my family doesn't have the means to travel out to cali and then everyone would get a chance to meet him...

Has anyone done this or have any advice? I really need it! Thank you xo

Ask him for his opinion. Don't ask like you've already decided that way he won't think you don't care about his opinion. He might agree with you. It's all a matter of how you say it. Doesn't hurt to discuss it!
