miscarriage question

I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and he said that he could not see a heartbeat or fetal pole, and it looked like the sac was collpasing.  I would be 7 weeks tomorrow.  My pregnancy symptoms are getting worse, and it is heartbreaking sitting around waiting to lose a baby.  Any thoughts about how long it typically takes for the miscarriage to start?  This is our first mc.

Sorry about what is going on in your life. I would not wish it on any soul.I myself have had 2 mc that i know of. It is real easy for me to mc my blood type is Rh- so most of the time it will happen without me knowing that it does because it will happen before i know i'm pregnant especially now that i have been pregnant 4 times (that i know of). But if it does happen to you and i hope it doesn't; never give up everything will be all right in the end. I have two wonderful boys to prove it!

dont give up hope just yet!! if your dates or off it could be too early to see a heartbeat, did your dr schedule another ultrasound?

if you are 6 weeks, then one day could change everything.  go back next week for another US.  if that shows just a sac, then unforutantely the baby did not develop, i had that happen to me my 2nd miscarriage.  But there is a major possibility that you will see a little pole if you think you could be a week behind.

hi im sorry so sorry for you both. i had a missed miscarriage 6 weeks ago, i thought i was 9 weeks but my baby had stopped growing at just over  6 weeks, the day i started to bleed everything came away naturally that day, reading the other posts maybe you are slightly less pregnant than what was first thought, fingers crossed for you and you are both in my prayers, take care x

I don't have another appointment for two weeks, and I just hate waiting.  The doctor didn't seem to think that there was any possibility, but he was very supportive when I said I did not want to do an D&C right away.  We are just waiting for whatever God has in store.  I am sorry to hear about what everyone is going through, but it is helpful to know that other women have survived it.  Emotions are just running high now.

Can you get your HCG levels tested and then re tested a couple of days later to see what your numbers are doing?  Sometimes people can't see the baby until later than the 6 and 1/2 weeks.
