I'm getting a sleeper, it's like a bassinet but it rocks and it has a buckle so the baby will be buckled down and unable to roll around at night! The one I love has a light on top that shines stars on the ceiling! It's adorable!

We are getting a rocking sleeper, using my toddlers crib because he's moving to a big boy bed soon, and a swing!

My son loved his cradle swing so much he would only sleep in it til he was 5 months old! He's very spoiled is why I allowed him to sleep in it so long! Lol

Also the pack n play is a good idea especially if you travel a lot! I've wore out my sons playpen so bad we have to buy another for the newborn when he comes!

My son still uses his playpen because his dad travels for work and we go visit him alot

You'll need both.. a baby can only sleep in a bassinet for maybe 4 months at the most, then it becomes unsafe because they start pulling up and turning over. If you're looking to save money, invest in a pack-n-play with a raised mattress and a bassinet attachment to it. They do come in all in ones like that! I bought a bassinet, a pack-n-play, and a crib because I couldn't make up my mind with my first son.. he didn't use any of them :/ he ended up sleeping with me lol. My daughter used to crib and bassinet though, and I take my pack-n-play with us when we go out of town so she can sleep/play in there!
