The dried out part is literally hanging by a thread he just kept pushing and its about to fall off and the seems to be a little yellow circle in the belly button I've clean around and inside with alcohol because he had a little yellow gooy stuff that comes out and dries up idk if its normal clinic is closed amd the nearest hospital is an hour away I have to wait for my husband to get home if we take him to.the hospital to get it checked out im freaking out I just don't want him to get an infection because of my fault :(

There are no nerves through the umbilical cord so baby doesn't feel any pain or discomfort in regards to it. Just make sure you clean it really well, you can use alcohol and a qtip and just watch for signs of infection.

How old is ur LO ? My son was 5days old when he lost his and im pretty positive he made it happen because he would pull on it and when he kicked his feet he would rub it.. just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesnt start looking like an infdction is sitting in and watch for bleeding ... It should be ok but if u r worried u can always take him to get checked

My son likes to pee when im changing him to just make sure you clean the umbilical cord with some alcohol. I use a qtip so i can get a little down in there. He will be fine my sons even bled a little and i called his dr to make sure i wasnt hurting him and they said its just fine. Im a ftm to and i freak out about things all the time just call the dr office or nurse hotline to ease your mind. There pain sensory hasnt quite developed yet so it shouldnt hurt him. Goodluck mama and congrats on your little one
