You should consider talking to your doctor. He/she will be able to help you understand why certain things are good/bad to eat better than any of us:) we're not medical professionals; )
Caffeine is actually really bad for other reasons besides dehydration during pregnancy, and please listen to your doctor about avoiding certain foods that cause serious complications.
But I've never met a doctor who advised against eating spicy food-- unless you're suffer in from severe heartburn.
As much as we would like to eat ANYTHING you should stay away from Raw Fish, Unpasteurized items and Uncooked Cold Cuts or Hot Dogs. Other than that the world is pretty much yours....
Just want to put this out there pregnant women can eat anything that they want. We are told no spicy food because of heartburn,no caffeine because it dehydrates you, no carbonated beverages because it releases calcium from your bones but if you are still healthy and feel good enjoy anything you want
