Membrane sweep

Hey ladies so its my bday tommorow and by coincidence my dr has also offered me a sweep tommorow too .. I really don't wanna have the same bday as my baby girl as I think it would be less special for her so I'm wondering who has had the sweep done? When u had it done? And also if it worked and if so how long after you had it done? Thanks I'm kinda stressing seein as its my oldests first day of kindergarten tommorow as well :/ oh and to add I'm 38 weeks tommorow :)

Mine was done 5 days before my baby came and I still had to be induced

Ive had 2 in the past 2 weeks. The only thing it did for me was make some of my mucous plug come out :/

Like they said,it works for some.I had a membrane sweep done over a week ago when I was preggo.happened on a Thursday and nothing.I was 3cm and 50% effaced.I got induced when I was 40 weeks and gave birth when I was 40+2..didn't work to speed things up or anything for me.but I hope your bday is good even with the sweep.I know having it done hurt me and made me bleed the whole day

Well at my last apt over a week ago se said I was 1cm and extremely soft she didn't say how far dilated though.. I'm hoping it will work though cuz I've had the ton of mucous for a week now and back and belly cramps so maybe she just needs a kick start to come out lol

With my first i went into labour the next day but i was 4cm dialated. Im also hoping my doc will do it tomorrow at my appt. It works better if u are dialated and ready for labour otherwise it doesnt always work.

I had a membrane sweep done last Tuesday... and I'm still prego. Lol I'll be 40 weeks this Wednesday. It works for some and doesn't for others, depends if your body is ready I think. Although, a day or two later I noticed a lot more mucous discharge, like a crazy amount.
