nerve wrecking

My nerves are a little shot right now after what I just found out... and I think motherly instinct is already kicking in n my baby isnt even here yet but heres my rant:

So my little cousin who is adopted is 8yrs old, n she has problems like serious problems. Tonight she got a hold of a butcher knife and stabbed my aunts dog in the back n sliced the dogs back open, well this little girl is supposed to be staying a couple nights with my grandparents (where I stay) and I have 3cats n im so scared she is gonna do something to them, I wont be home cuz for my safety from her, since she has to sleep in my room, I told my grandma that I dont want her in my room alone with my cats, ill be very upset if she does something to my cats, I also told her I dont ever want her around my baby after finding out what she did. We're all starting to think she is scitso (however its spelled) im like terrified now, for myself, my baby, my cats, my aunt... its scary, but my rant is over

She may be a little girl but 8yrs old she would know better . Stabbing a dog isn't a small misunderstanding on her part. She is 8 she would know that is bad, there is obviously something wrong. Ever since I was little my mom thought I had issues but everyone told her I was too young and kids don't have mental issues or emotional issues which is a b u l l s h i t lie. Had my mom actually went and got me help I wouldn't have endured the pain I did. I really hope she gets the help she needs!

That is scary & I'd feel the same way but she is still little innocent girl especially if she's adopted & she was in foster homes. That does a lot to kids young ones at that. Probably be a good idea baby proof things a little better to where she can't get ahold if these things

This is a good read on it from a trusted website and magazine. It shows statistics, but it could lead to, and reasons behind these actions.

I highly doubt this is an attention problem,  this isnt the first time that she has done stuff but not this bad, pushing ur dog down the stairs is nothing compared to walking into the kitchen getting a butcher knife n stabbing a dog in its back n dragging it downward, a broken leg isnt gonna kill a dog sammie, I mean to be honest, whats the opinion on ppl that does this kind of stuff to animals then proceeds to murdering ppl? Do u see that as someone wanting attention, I dont I see it as someone that is sick n had a sick childhood

I cannot believe what I'm reading. A.) That child is not an adult. In saying this I can't believe someone would straight out call a child a psycho! And B.) Children tend to hurt animals. It's common. I broke my dog's leg when I was five by pushing him down a slide. I didn't know better. What you young cousin needs is attention and reprimanding that comes with this understanding, rather than being locked away from the rest of her family.

Yea, doing stuff to animals as a child is a sign that the child could grow up to be a serial killer, shes on meds but I think its for the wrong things, my aunt is suppose to be taking her to a physciatrist, n no my cats dont go outside, as long as my grandma is in the room with her n is watching her, everything should be fine, idk what to think im like dumbfounded that someone could do that to a poor innocent animal :(

It was for attention or out of curiosity. The things kids like that do is all for reason.  I'd recommend talking to her adoptive parents about therapy. She may not take well to isolation. :/ speaking from experience. My little sister had a thing for fire. She almost burned her entire room. My parents thought spankings and being sent away would be a good thing for her. First spanking she got I flipped and mom said I kept crying and hugging my sister, saying "I so sorry, sissy!!". Ever since then, my sister has been okay. Not sure if a phase or what, but the one thing I believe kids like that is love and friendship in close quarters. Someone to look up to, you know?

My aunt uses that my cousin was a crack baby as a crutch, no thats not what it is, this kid needs help, dont get me wrong but the more I think about it the more I don't want her around at all, plus she proceeded to lie about where all the blood came from n the rags that she threw in the trash

Omg I would be so scared & do your cats go outside I would let them out for the couple of days & leave some food outside on the porch or something for them...& I would be terrified for my grandparents have they ever thought of getting her so therapy or help (no disrespect) cuz stabbing animals is not a good sign & she sure wouldn't be around my baby I hope you & your grandparents also your cats stay safe
