All tattoo shops will refuse if you admit to being pregnant, its on the form you sign. I am covered in ink myself. Tats while preg is dangerous, it can effect your bp, it can cause infection, Ect. Even if I had doc approval I would not do it.

Smoking isn't okay either but I know a lot of women who have while preg and their baby was healthy. I'm not supporting it myself, just saying

I don't see why your friends doctor would give her the okay to get a tattoo, they tell you not to because risk of infection, and at tattoo shops you sign a paper that makes sure you aren't pregnant and what not so she lied. Sure I want another tattoo but ill wait till my baby is here.

Chellybellybean I've heard the exact opposite, during the first 12 weeks the baby is at greatest risk of developing problems related to tattoo ink being absorbed through the skin.

No def not safe but don't take the risk of infecting your baby with any infectious diseases HIV, hep b, c , #nogood. Smoking either it's causes premature birth and the rate if your child being born with lung conditions i.e asthma is really high so just stay away from it all not a doc but I work in medical field just my advise tho good luck hope this helped

A reputable tattoo place will not tattoo you when you are pregnant and the last thing you want to do is go to a place that will! As for smoking. It's not a healthy habit even for non pregnant women but now you have a baby to Care for. Smoking can decrease the amount of oxygen the baby gets. Plus once baby is born you can't be smoking in the house or near the baby

You have to think about it like this. Would you give a new born baby a cigarette and a tattoo? If not, then you shouldn't give yourself those things. Everything you do you give your baby, and you have to think about the infections and disease you're risking. I smoked a pack a day before I found out I pregnant and I'm 16 weeks now and STILL craving cigarettes, so I couldn't ever judge someone for smoking, but I wouldn't, not while I risk hurting my baby.

Oh girl its not me.. lol..

Im saying because I just seen alot of prego girls smoking cigarettes, and recently seen that a girl I know got a new tattoo... but since shes not showing at all yet im guessing she was able to fool the guy that did it for her..

Thats so damn scary

tattoos are ok but only during the 1st trimester. I got one done at 10 weeks after my dr. Said it was fine. But always talk to your dr. First :)

Tattoos no. N cigarettes no. Both have toxic chemical s n unlike weed they actually have studies that it damages babies. As for tattoos, your skin I'd different and so I'd your blood. The tattoo won't even stick as good.

Oh goodness, a lot of mommas gon be upset at this one.....but I'm not.

It's not safe at all. Tattoo shops won't even allow you to get any service while pregnant because it can cause infections.

Smoking cuts off the oxygen to the baby, so that's not safe either. Try chewing gum and other little things. I smoked weed but I've stopped since finding out.
