you need to see a doctor. when I had my d&c, it took 6 weeks for my cycle to return.  But I was told by my doctor to make an appointment if it didnt return by the 8th week... . There could be some retained tissue preventing ovulation or a number of others things.. Your doctor may prescribe you something to get it started again.. but either way, please make an appointment

Its pretty normal for your cycle to take some time to get back to normal after a loss and/or a d&c. I have needed 3 d&c's, and on average, it has taken about 5 weeks or so to get my first period.  Even 8 weeks would be pretty normal. I would agree thought that 12 weeks is a bit long, and I do think it important to follow up with your Dr.  Sometimes a little help is required to kick start things again.  Take good care, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Hi there, I don't have experience with d & c's but I'd think that 12 weeks is a long time to go without a cycle! Can you call or see your doctor? It is possible that it can take time for your hormones to regulate and that it could take time for a thick enough lining to build up to prompt a cycle, but I think it would be best to speak to the physician who performed the procedure. Good luck!
