How did you chose your doctor?? Im 12w 3d and havent been to the doctor yet.  This is my first baby and I really dont know how to do all this stuff? Please someone help me

I just went to my regular gynecologist. but had lots of problems with my dads insurance. they said I was covered just the delivery wasn't. but the people in the front office at my gynecologist were adamant that my insurance did not cover my pregnancy at all. so we ended up switching to my doctor that I have right now, he's really nice and gives me an ultra sound at every appt. he's the best for high risk pregnancies too and the only one where I live that does the 4D ultrasound which is cool :)
still ended up having to get off my dads insurance and get minor consent medical bc my insurance called my doctor and said it didn't cover. but the people were extremely nice about it and not like the people at the doctor I had went to prior.
all in all, I'm extremely happy with my doctor. only thing is, he doesn't deliver at the hospital I want to deliver at which kind of *****. but I'm just gonna have him send all my records to the hospital I plan on delivering at and have whosever on call deliver me :)

Honestly the first time i was pregnant i didnt chose my ob gyn but i miscarried and the doctor that told me i miscarried was truely there for me( he wasnt the doc i had as the ob) now this doctor that was there for my miscarriage has been my ob for my daughter and now my son

And you can always switch if you change you're mind

You get a list of obgyns near you and you literally go to every one and interview them, you see if they can go with your birth plan, how available are they? How comfortable do they make you feel then you choose:) medicaid gave me a list of drs i had to choose from so i interviewed from there
