I was induced not with medications tho they vroke my water. Aftetr being induced my daughter was here in 9 hours which is sometimes a miracle with your first. I had no complications at all and your doctors keep you informed of what's going on the whole time so it won't just be oh surprise you need a c section. I know here they won't even consider doing a c section unless absolsutely necessary
I say wait it out.. you tend to be in labor much longer when you are induced and its tends to be more painful.
I was induced at 41 weeks. Its time consuming after they started everything I was in labor for about 20 hours. It wasnt that bad until I had to push by then I could feel everything and the pressure was horrible! No cmpolications though and this was my first baby
Every mom is different and every baby is different, My sister was induced with both her kids, A quick 8-10 hr labor and two pushes on her 1st and one push on her 2nd and out came baby, I however was induced at 38 weeks and was in labor 48 hrs, fever, 103,and pushed for 3 hrs w/baby stuck forcing vacuum removal, Its always best to let nature take its on course, but sometimes it needs help, Try to breast pump and release your own oxytocin for naturally induction w/out meds...
I am a ftm so I don't have any exp. but from the classes I have been taking and just everything I have learned so far in my personal opinion I would say let nature do its thing. unless medically ness. like your over 24hrs in labor and your still not progressing in labor or if your 42+w and still not ready or theres another problem w/ you or baby I wouldn't personally do it. it can cause a higher chance of having a c section and it causes contractions to come faster and stronger and its more painful and you still after all that might not work im planning a regular all natural pain med free birth so again its just my personal opinion and im guessing once you get to the 39th week you want baby out Im only 30w3d and already cant wait but there are many other ways to naturally start labor goodluck and take care:)
I have been induced four times and never had a c-section. I also know plenty of others who have been induced and didn't have to have a c-section. Usually there is not much concern unless they try to rush you through the labor and try to make you progress too fast, with too much pitocin at a time.
