Something else you could do, if you have a crock pot, is prepare the ingredients raw in a zip lock bag and write the directions for cooking directly on the bag(s) and just toss them in at the beginning of the day. I love my crock pot, so I'll be putting it to use.

OMG I love freezer meals lol
me , my mum, and her friends always get together and make 30-45 freezer meals for friends when they are expecting its such a time saver and makes things easier for mums and dads especially if the dad is working and the mum doesn't feel like cooking .
I know my mum has been soups, bread rolls, ham and hash brown casserole, chicken and wild rice casseroles , ect  this is prolly the best thing any mum can do while pregnant for after her baby is born plus most things if they need a side dish it's something simple like instant potatoes or rice.

I've frozen meals with all 4 of my babies!! It's just awesome to grab dinner out of the freezer!! I make big batches of spaghetti sauce n make lasagna, stuffed shells, ziti, n save plain sauce for just a spaghetti nite too....this time I made a huge batch of creamy chicken( shredded with cream chs, crm of chicken soup, chicken broth n seasonings) for sandwhiches or for over rice/mashed pot...I make a Mexican casserole that freezes well too!! The trick to freezing pasta is to under cook the noodles, boil them for only abt half of the time or they will get mushy when reheated!

Oh I was thinking more for when I deliver since hubby works and my son goes to school I was thinking I could cook some meals and freeze so we could eat for the first week or two. But yeah I am thinking of buying a baby bullet that way I can make her own food!

I wouldnt like to freeze it for too long, most things can only be frozen for so many months or weeks, so bear in mind that baby will not be eating solids until about 4 - 6 months old...I always used to feed my babies with the pureed veg from my own meal and later add in some meat, it made me eat better food too! When my new boy is ready for some proper food I will probably do the same for the most part. There are some fab baby cook books with ideas of different combinations from first tastes right up to toddler...most of these would have a guide as to how long the meals could be safely frozen for :)

I was thinking about doing it but i think I talked myself out of it lol cuz I don't really have the money to do it in advanced right now, were having to buy all the new baby stuff, for some reason I'm not getting a baby shower this time so were working on getting everything we need, I'm 32 weeks. But I do think its a good idea, I read an article about it in a book called 'how to rock your baby' great book by the way lol sorry to be getting off subject. It talks about freezing casseroles and stuff like that.

Most soups and sauces freeze well, we do chicken noodle, clam chowder and spaghetti sauce. You should also check out TakeThemAMeal.com, it gives friends and family an organized way to sign up to bring you meals :)
