i think im going into labor

Well yesterday night I had strong contractions for about 2 hours but I wanted to wait until I couldn't handle it..so I laid down and dey calmed down idk why..all through the night I had pain but not as bad as they were when I woke up they went away so I'm confused but I went to the bathroom twice and both times I had a big chunk of slimy gooey yellow stuff come out..it was a lot now I'm sitting here and I feel contractions but they are not painful...I get them like every 5 mins but don't really hurt...I'm 38 wks 5 days ...Plz help am I in labor.

My contractions didnt hurt at all until they gave me pitocin...i went into preterm labor with both my kids and had regular contractions for 2 months with my oldest and no dialation but the contractions didnt hurt...my youngest i was contracting regularly for 4 months (again no dialation) and they didnt hurt...i would have probably never known i was in active labor had i not gone to the hospital...i would call your doc to ser what they say.

I believe those are BH. I'm 37 even today, and I had that happen to me the other day. They say if it goes away once you change your activity then it's BH. If they don't change, and they still hurt even if you move from sitting, standing, or laying they are probably real contractions. :)

Not everyones contractions are horribly painful! My friend had contractions every 5 mins, but not very painful. If I wouldn't of drug her to the hospital she would've delivered at home! She was an 8 when we got to the hospital.
I say go to labor and delivery!! Get checked out!

i agree with Stacey, and they should stay consistant when you do the opposite... like if you are feeling them and you are up moving around they shouldnt stop when you sit and rest....

labour contractions should hurt, before you ring the hospital you want them to be around 5 min apart lasting for 45-60 sec and you have to concentrate through them :)

That sounds like u lost ur mucous plug.  And if they can b timed and r 5mins apart 4 an hour I would call ur doc and c what they want u 2 do.  Sounds like labor 2 me!!
