ovulation question

Hey I was wondering is it possible to get pregnant when you are not ovulating? My cycles are 37 days and everyone is telling me I probably ovulated on dec 30 instead of Jan 9. Is this possible? My other question is can an ultrasound tell you when you ovulated by looking at your ovaries? My doctor told me I ovalated from the left ovary. So does that mean I got pregnant when i ovulated? Sorry so many questions

Also Dr's base your pregnancy from the 1st day of your last period, so it will show you being two weeks further along that your gestation age

If your not ovulating there is no egg to fertilize so no you cant get pregnant.
No one can ever tell you the exact day you ovulated, and its difficult to work out.
If you cycles are every 37 days, you would ovulate between 10-16 days before your period is next period is due, and this is known as a lutheal phase.
You can be more aware of your ovulation by paying attention to your Cervical Mucus.
When you are fertile, its very stretchy and clear, and the last day you see this fertile cervical mucus, is the day of or the day before you ovulate, so it will narrow your lutheal phase down  between one day. EG last day of fertile cm is 12 days before your expected period so your luteal phase is 12 or 11 days before your next expected period. And that is roughly the day you would ovulate.
But again it can change monthly, so just pay attention to your mucus, and once it gets stretchy its time for baby making. (thats if your trying)
