Both were extremely painful lol. With my son I was in labor for 9 hrs. 10 years later I had my daughter and I was in labor for 6... it was faster but different. The pain for my son I felt more in back and my girl in my tummy. Now my girl is 2 and I'm expecting another girl due in two weeks. I honestly think with so much time u forget how bad it hurts. Now that I remember cause its only been 2 years I'm scared! Lol
Thanks thats reasuring me a bit . this pregency is total diffrent to my first for some reason its more tyering and im 27 nos i feel like im about 80 with the bad bk and that .
Also, I think I am as physically fit if not more than before my first pregnancy, so hoping that will help things go a little smoother this time around.
My doc said that they typically expect a second time mom to dilate about twice as fast (he said 2cm/hour versus 1 cm/hour as average reported values). He said the pushing is typically faster since the woman knows what to do, but I just laughed and said that I couldn't really remember that part!
Hi - I don't have an answer for you, but can commiserate. Second pregnancy for me too, but my daughter is 13. I have been wondering as well if my body will remember or if this will be more like a first time birth. I am 38w 5d. Overall, pregnancy has been fairly similar to the first, despite being in my 30's now vs 20's. I am already dilated to a 2 & 70% effaced, which I think is ahead of where I was at this point last time, for what that is worth. It should be interesting. Anybody out there with a significant gap between births 1 & 2 who can share their experience?
My second and third have a seven year difference. I was induced and it took about 7 hours. You will probably go quicker since its your second. Good luck.
