pelvic exam...
hi ladies.. I had my first internal pelvic exam today.. I told the doc i wasn't gettin my periods for 8 months and i am not pregnant... So when i came home i noticed some spottin on the tissue is this normal... ? I also told the doc i was ttc and they took bloodwork can anyone tell me wat they check for all i heard when she was talkin to the other doc was i'll check FSH.. LH.. Testosteron i don't know wat else should be there?
i did speak to a doc two in fact and they did the pelvic exam very weird experience... But i just wondered wat this was for and can med's sort it out? xx ye are all so helpful xx
hey dear,best to speak to the doc so that they explain all these things to you. Don't stress!
Sometimes a screwed up thyroid (hypo or hyper) will mess with your cycles...and the same with a imbalance of testosterone. They are trying to help you by finding out why you don't have cycles. I wouldn't worry because they are going to help you figure out what the problem is.
is there a major reason why they want to test my thyroid and testosterone? Just a little worries as i don't know wat to expect xx

They are probably testing your blood for levels of these hormones to see if they can figure out why you aren't having periods....most likely you aren't ovulating. If this is the case they should be able to give you meds to help prompt ovulation.
