Its not to early to think about it. Talk to your midwife or dr at your next appointment. I brought it up at my 12 week appointmemt and she said its a good thing I said something because it fills up fast. May be different at each hospital. ..
I am considering a waterbirth n the hospital i will deliver has 2 birthing tubs although i am just going to take it as it comes my cousin had a waterbirth a said it was an amazing experiance.
I wanted one but my hospital doesn't do water births and all the doctors around me won't. I found a midwife who did but she didn't accept Medicaid so it's a hospital birth for me :(
I actually have Medicaid/CDPHP and it covered my midwife visits and the birth even with my midwife not being in the network. My midwife even came to my home for every visit. She just wrote me scripts for ultrasounds and I could have them done wherever I chose. I was so ready to be done having kids until this last birth and I immediately thought to myself "well I could do that again..." Lol I was up and cleaning in a matter of hours. It was the easiest most natural experience :)
Wow @jaden you have a crazy story lol
I wish I could do that... IF i have another one then I might do that I seen a documentary on it and I thought it was very interesting... if my insurance covered that I would definitely do it
I am 17 weeks and considering a water birth but don't know if my hospital has one:'(
I'm technically always high risk because of having Factor V leiden (blot clotting disorder) and delivering prematurely twice but I was able to have a water birth with my last son. I did a home water birth and gave birth at 39+5. My water broke in the shower and about 40 minutes later I was holding my son. I only labored in the pool about 20 minutes then pushed for 5 and then my mother delivered him because my midwife was still on her way when it was time to push.,I have to say it was the best birthing experience I've had so far (first two were at the hospital).,if I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing :)
I thought about it but I don't know if I will be able to I am a ftm and a have a blood disorder so I don't know if the military docs will let.me have a water birth
Great thanks for the responses.
I am considering it. Well, actually I am considering laboring in water then moving to a bed for delivery.I have a high chance of tearing and I feel more comfortable if the Dr can sew me up fast on dry land lol. My mil is a l and d nurse and said the women who have a water birth or labor in water tend to be a lot less cranky!
im 33 weeks and planning on a waterbirth! although, i dont think i can have one if i need to be induced, and seeing as this is my first, i think ill be overdue! im gona try and avoid an epidural as much as possible.
