it doesnt matter how old you are when you have your baby, it is yours unless you sign over your parental rights. stand up for you and your baby, if you live with your parents and they are trying to take custody move out, go to your bfs or other family members if you have, 17 is old enough to make your own decisions

I'm from Missouri and had my oldest child a month after my 17th birthday and have always been my child's guardian not my parents or even my sins father. I never had to have parental consent for anything.

You are the legal guardian of your baby u less you turn over that right to your parents and even then custody would go to the dad before it would go to them.

That is YOUR child! You are her parent and legal guardian. They have no legal rights to your daughter so don't stress hon.

You are the legal guardian. Its your child not theirs. However you are still a minor so depending on the state they may have to sign you guys out of the hospital or sign consent forms for any medical procedures you want or need. Just ask your hospital what they do
