Use first morning urine and use first response early.  I have never gotten false results with it.  Good luck

I too have never had a problem with First Response.. Keep in mind, it is common to get false negative but very rare to get false positives... Until you have the opportunity to test again, I would say take caution and act as if you are pregnant.. sending baby dust

I've had that happen where one brand showed up a very faint line and the others were all negative. A week later I tried again and got a definate positive. Some tests are just more sensitive than others. If you want to knwo for sure see if your dr will give you a blood test.

When did you take your first test, and have you had any bleeding or severe pain on one side? You need to rule out chemical pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy first. False positives happen but they are extremely rare. False negatives are much more common.

That said, I have had the exact same thing! Positive, inconclusive, negative. Plus spotting instead of my period 5 days before I was due on the first month and light bleeding (much less than my period normally is) when I hit 8 weeks. I got my positive test the day I skipped my period. It's confusing as hell and all I can say is talk to your doctor, but you may just have to toughen up and wait it out till you're farther along. Waiting on doc appointment to see what is going on and if I'm still preggers.

Unfortunately it's not true that getting negative urine tests early on always means you aren't pregnant. I found that out the hard way last year; doctor insisted I wasn't pregnant and ran the pee test twice. She was wrong, and I lost it somewhere around 6.5 weeks. A good friend of mine tested negative with her first baby till she went to the clinic at 3 months.

You may want to consider calling for a blood test. But even those don't work on all women if you're very early. You may just have to wait; most doctors won't see you before 8-10 weeks unless they have reason to think it's an emergency because they can't tell you much anyway. In the meantime, you had a positive test, and only you can say what's normal about your body right now. Start taking prenatals, cutting back on alcohol and caffeine, drinking more water and generally taking care of yourself. Just in case.

Thank your so much for your experience on this matter. The reason i tested was because i was having irregular spotting this month for my monthly cycle and my nurse asked to to take a home pregnancy test. so i did i recieved a faint positive as the urine went streaming down the test. Ever test after that including the ept from the docters have been negative and it is so sad i almost about cry, because i know i have a chance to be pregnant and i was experiencing the symptoms.

I just want to find out, i have a lil spotting but no pain,
I feel healthy and i feel good.

This has been the first positive test i had ever taking and seems to be the most challenging because i dont know. i will get you updated because i would really like to find out

Praying as always
