Thats all I have done, is worried about what would be best for me and my baby! And were Im a ftm...its kinda hard to know being new at this and all lol
My first was a tough delivery so the dr said c section this time. I did have an epidural with my first and it was amazing, it did not hurt half as much as i expected it might. It actually felt like a cold shoot down my spine, not a large amount of pain at all.
I've def been leaning more toward an epidural, bc it seems it would make it more enjoyable and a better experience! Thank you guys so much!
I had a csection in 2010 after being induced for 8hours. No meds til the spinal, which felt like a pinch.
In 2012 I had a vaginal birth with no meds at all. 8lb 8oz boy.
Don't be scared! All you'll do is stress yourself out.
Honestly a blood test hurts more than epidural in my opinion - and it was important for me. I'd definitely choose it again over anistetic anyways.
And I'm extremely bad with needles.
(I vomited on the phlebotomy dr when he took bloods at twelve weeks and had to be placed lying down because my bp)
however I never had normal vaginal birth so I don't know about that side for deciding x
I have my labor story in my journal you can read. I was induced with a little bit of pain meds while I labored but they wore off when I started pushing, so I felt everything. It was about as natural as I could get.
That's what I've been wondering about, if epidurals hurt as much as people have told me lol. I just dont know what to expect, so its hard for me to plan!
I'd an emergency section in 09 - I'll be having a scheduled section with this lil guy due January.
Epidural to me was important because it was that or be asleep - it didn't hurt at all.
