pp bleeding

i know everyone's different , but on average, how long does a woman usually bleed after giving birth ? its been 5 days so far ( I know, not long at all ) I'm just curious. looking for what to expect.

7 days with my son. I know it is uncomfortable. I hated wearing those mattress sized pads too. I was so happy when I could just wear regular pads.

damn :( I guess that's what happens when we go 9 months without lol kinda tmi question, does it stay heavy for you ladies or lighten up ?

&what do they do at your 6week pp appointment ?! I'm hoping I stop before then !

Me too kaylax, with both my first and second babies, and up to four weeks so far with my third..

I bled for 5wks then got my period right after :(

I just stopped a few days ago (my baby was 3 wks old last fri) and I've a horrible feeling my period is on its way cos I'm really grumpy and this morning feel a little crampy :( I'm not taking well to it because I've rarely had a period in 15yrs! I've always used birth control which stops them amd have only ever come off it to have my babies, I've always been lucky enough to concieve within a few months of my cycles returning.

I bled for 14 days with my first 2 kids.. but they were csec.. then 3 weeks later had my first post baby period...

With my 1st i bled for about 2-3 week , with my 2nd i bled for about 5days i know what you mean. About wearing a pad 2 i hate them !

Omg i know how you feel, i never use pads. So having to use them really blows lol. Its been 11 days since i had my son and the bleeding seems to have stopped today. Might come back though,idk. I hope its done! I can't imagine bleeding for 2-5 Weeks.

Thanks ! I've been hoping it wouldn't last long lol, I was enjoying not having a period for 9 months :p
it's just so uncomfortable for me to wear a pad, I'm used to tampons! sorry tmi ;D

My first two were both 5 weeks and then I got my period at 6 weeks & I'm still bleeding at 4 weeks with number 3.

2-3 weeks at least. Some women have less, and some have more.
