The hospital I delivered at had no problem letting me move around and try different positons. I ended up delivering on my back though because that was easiest for me. But they should be willing to let you try different things and move around even in a hospital.

I'm just hoping for the best. Bc I know I can do it. I just don't wanna take a chance with an epidural. I wanna have him fast. And I wanna know that everything is fine with me and him.

I'm 37 weeks and planning on going the no epidural route as well and I am terrified as  well, this is my first but I know the pain of birth will be over before I know it, and that's what I try to keep in mind, that pain doesn't last forever.

I had a home water birth. So no pain meds for me. I have a low pain tolerance,  but if you are aloud to move and birth how you want its not that bad. Squating during contractions helpped me so much. And birthing on all fours or squatting is best.  Back is the worst. Doesn't help your body do what it needs to. Your water doesnt have to brake to give birth, lots of babiea are born In the bag. Its actually better for them...of course you can't really make the baby be born in the bag if it brakes on its own. Mine didn't brake until her head was about to crown. And personally I think the burn when they crown is worse then contractions lol. But not so bad that I cried or screamed.

I just had my almost 10 pound son on October 28th with no epidural..I had a few shots of Staydol which didn't do much good after the first time and it only lasted 5 minutes before I could feel everything again. My water broke on its own so didn't have to worry about that..but I stopped dilating around 7-8cm so they gave me a little pitocin to pick it back up..then turned it off before I needed to push which the Dr was mad at the nurse for doing that because it slowed me back down..they ended up putting me on oxygen to make me breath because I kept pushing before I was ready because my body wouldn't stop..I kept ripping the mask off though because it made it harder for me to breath. I ended up tearing though..which I'm not that big of a person so having an almost 10 pound baby would do that lol. I'm also a ftm so I had no idea what to expect..just remember to BREATH and focus on your baby..try not to think about the pain..I'm able to take a lot of pain..oddly the only thing I said 'ow' to was the stitches I got after. The Dr looked kind of puzzled that I said ow to stitches but not to giving natural birth.

I had my daughter without an epidural. It really wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm terrified of needles. I also just wanted to experience all if it. If you don't get an epidural you are less likely to tear and you can feel when you need to push where if you get an epidural I guess you are just numb pretty much. Once the baby is out you pretty much forget the pain. I plan on having my second baby without one also.
