I don't pre-register/pre-admit till Tuesday and am being induced Thursday
My doctor gave me all the paper works at 20 weeks. I just had to send it in to the hospital.
Ask your doctors office for the forms. They should have a folder they can give you with the information to fill out. Or go to the hospitals website and fill it out online.
At the hospital I will deliver at you don't have to pre register. My drs office sends over all the info that they need so they are prepaired whenever it is that you show up. The Dr office and hospital have computers that are linked together so all the emergency info and insurance stuff is already there
To do it yourself what do you do? I'm a ftm lol so do you just go to the hospital and tell them or what. We'd really like to get it done before hand just because we just want to enjoy our son and i don't wanna forget any information at home.
They say you should do it during your second trimester. So much more convenient because when you get there they have all of your information and insurance already.
I never did. They just asked me everything while I was there, it wasn't "extra paperwork" for them. They did it on the computer and the nurse was glad she got to sit down for a while to enter the info. So my opinion...don't stress about it. If it gets done cool, if not, then ohh well.
With my first they told me it needed to be done by 33 weeks so the hospital would have less paper work to go over once I was in labor. It mostly just makes sure the hospital knows your emergency information, allergies, medical conditions and who to give the daddy medical band to that matches baby and mama. With my second I didn't have to do anything cause at my 28 week check the doctor did the whole thing on the computer during my appointment and sent it off to the hospital. This time with my third I will do the registration myself once I know if I'm having a boy or a girl since the forms did ask I I'd be wanting a cercumtion done after delivery.
I think I was about 37w when my doctor had me do it for my first pregnancy.. It is more convenient to get it taken care of before hand..
I had to do it before I was 6 months
