going into labor....already? might be a little tmi and sorry it's long
alright so i'm now officially 26 weeks pregnant with my boys. when i went to my appointment on wed the doc said i was 2 cm dialated. ok a little worried but it happens right? well yesterday i was making my bed and i got this HORRIBLE pressure that actually made me sit down and go omg....well it went away and i was thinking ok so brett probably moved and just kicked me in the wrong spot. well last night the dh and i are laying in bed and all of a sudden i started to feel just weird. so i got up to go to the bathroom....when i wiped (here's the tmi) there was a little bit of mucus. i didn't think much of it. i went back to bed and after reassuring dh for about 20 minutes that the twins and i are ok that i just had to "pee" (he gets grossed out about the nasty stuff of pregnancy) we finished watching our movie. well we're laying there and i got that omg weird feeling again...get up to go to the bathroom....again and when i wiped there was not a whole whole lot but a lot more mucus this time...and it was a yellowish creamy color (now i've had discharge during the pregnancy but NOTHING like this). of course this time i told dh....he freaked thinking the babies are falling out....took me an hour to reassure him the boys were not falling out that they were safely tucked inside my uterous still. after that i was ok. no more weird feelings or mucus....until a little bit ago. i got a bit of pressure and the weird feeling again when i took dh to the bus station to go back to d.c (he's a marine and stationed there till he gets out in november) so i went to the bathroom....and there's more mucus. i did tell my mom about it and she wanted me to go to the hospital but i have another ob appointment in 2 days....i'm just wondering...could this be that infamous mucus plug coming out in pieces? could i be in labor? has this happened to anyone else?
well i went to my appointment....and i'm still 2 1/2 cm....so yay to that! i've been having "contractions"/cramping type feelings but according to the doc that's normal for twin pregnancy this early. as long as i'm not having them every 8-10 minutes for 2 hours or more then it's all good. he did say if they were born this early that they would be ok but they'd rather them stay in till i'm at least 32 weeks. they're hoping for 35 weeks.
glad to hear all is well. Hope your appointment is full of good news, keep those babies in a little bit longer.
Wow, am I glad you updated!!! We thought sure those babies were born!! I'm glad they weren't!!! Please keep us posted about your appt.!!!
lol i posted an update. sorry i worried you guys. i am on bedrest...well supposed to be but i started draggin my butt outta bed to check my emails. i just have a desk top which is in the game/family room and my room is upstairs. they still haven't come yet so that's GREAT!!!! i do have another appointment this afternoon so hopefully i'm still only at 2 1/2 cm.
Wow its been awhile I pray those babies are safe and sund in mommies womb still cooking away!!!

Maybe she is on bedrest and doesn't have a laptop or a computer near her? I hope those babies stayed in there a bit longer! Hopefully we hear something soon!!!
it very well could be your mucus plug but that does not mean you will or will not go into labor anytime soon. Some women lose their plugs or pieces of them upwards of 8 weeks before delivery. But if you really are concerned I agree with you rmother...better to get checked than to take a chance. Listen to your body if it doesnt "feel" right go get checked.
