Hi! The length of your cycle is determined by when you ovulate. So if you ovulate late in your cycle, you'll have a later-than-usual period. Ovulation can be delayed by extreme stress, illness, medications, travel, a new exercise regimen, etc.
Similarly, if no ovulation occurs, you're body will still shed the lining (anovulation period) and occurs later than expected, too.
The vaginal discharge and headache are common signs women experience during ovulation. If this is the case, you're period will most likely begin in a couple of weeks. Keep us posted!
