pressure and soft cervix 32 weeks

So I am 32 weeks, 2 days. My last prenatal the doctors did an internal since I have been experiencing a lot of pain ans pressure due to baby being dropped already. He told me my cervix is forward and soft, which it certainly never was at this stage with my previous two pregnancies. He wants me on modified bedrest. Has anyone else been experiencing this, or has in the past? I am really Hoping to make it to 36 weeks.

Thanks so much for the comments ladies. Yeah it's hard resting this much, and its hard not to worry, but it helps to know others in the same position that's for sure. She is so low that she is putting pressure on everything down there!! Good luck ladies. Hopefully we all make it to 36 weeks!

Yes ..at exactly the same amount of weeks you are I had an exam because I felt contractions an pressure my cervix was shortened an getting soft ...I had pre term labor with my daughter at 32 weeks also so i was pretty worried...I'm now 34 weeks an will have an exam my next appointment at 36 weeks my Dr said at my last appointment because i was a second time mom well be feeling more contractions an in general be more uncomfortable towards the end of second third fourth pregs ..he didn't seem overly worried about it other than tons of water rest and that's it .
