preterm labour

Hello, my name is Jacqui Walker.
I am emailing you in hope of finding an answer as to what is wrong with me. I will give a brief (As brief as I can make it) summary of what I have been going through over the last year.
I became pregnant in November 2011 with my first baby. Everything was going fine. All my regular check-ups looked normal and healthy. Then at 23 weeks I was having some tightening low in my stomach. It kind of felt like I had to go to the toilet. I tried to carry on with what I was doing and it became so bad I couldn’t even walk, and I had some bleeding. I then knew it was not Braxton hicks contractions and I called my fiancée to come and get me from work, we went straight to the hospital that was 35 minutes away and  as soon as we got there I was assessed and told I was fully dilated and going to deliver my baby. There was nothing I could do. This was at 9.30pm. I then delivered my baby girl Willow after a night of labour at 10.30am.
A month later we met with the doctors that “assessed” my situation and they told me that I may have an incompetent cervix and will probably look at getting a cervical cerclage in my next pregnancy.
I then became pregnant 5 weeks later, I went to the doctor as soon as I found out I was pregnant and met with an obstetrician and she had scans done of my cervix and said it was not short enough to be a problem and that there was signs of infection in the previous pregnancy in the placenta. I was a bit blown away because this was new information to me. She continued to say that I don’t need a stich just to be closely monitored in the current pregnancy. Everything looked normal in my fortnightly scans. At 17 weeks I went in to the hospital via emergency just because I felt a bit unsettled they checked my cervix and assured me I was fine. A week later at 18 weeks I was on my way to the hospital for a fortnightly scan and started feeling tight in the tummy. I instantly knew that feeling and rushed into the hospital and when they looked to see if I had dilated at all the membranes were showing and I was fully dilated. This was at 11am and I was in labour until I had my son Archie the next day at 5pm.
As soon as I feel the tightening’s I feel as if, if I pushed the baby would come right out. I feel like I have the contractions because it’s my body trying to fight against my mind trying not to let them come out.
The doctors at the follow up appointment said there looked to be signs of infection with too many white blood cells but he couldn’t be sure. He said I should probably look at a cervical stitch but he isn’t sure that will work either. The doctors in my area are just hopeless and I really need some real answers. I am 19 years old so it shouldn’t be related to my age as I am in the “prime” age for a pregnancy apparently.
If you can please help me I would be so grateful.

I'm so sorry but you need to see a high risk doctor,

I agree. You should be assessed by a high risk ob (perinatologist) to see if you would benefit from a cerclage.
