I was in labor for 38 hours! My contraction just never were consistent even while pushing. They had to turn the pitocin back on because while he was crowning my contraction completely stopped. We had to wait for them to start back to continue pushing. He ended up having a cone head for about a week because of it.

My water broke at 10AM on my due date and contractions started within half an hour. Went to the appointment I already had with my midwives early afternoon and they confirmed it was for real but that I had a while to go yet so we went back home. Left for the birthing center a little after 10PM when contractions were getting to be about 4 minutes apart and harder to breathe through. We had called the answering service but hadn't heard back from the midwife on call - thankfully she was there at the nurses' station when we arrived, having just attended another birth. She knew it was going to be a long night.
We talked a bit about my plan (though she had my chart and we'd talked about it before) while a nurse filled up the tub. I squatted in the tub for a couple of hours, feeling more comfortable than I'd been all day, still contracting steadily - and then all of a sudden I was freezing cold. More hot water wasn't making a bit of difference so I got out, sadly giving up on the idea of a water birth. I just wasn't feeling quite right. Got dried off and into the bed, my midwife started perineal massage with oil that didn't stop hardly at all from then on. I shifted around to different positions but eventually figured out the only place I was gonna feel okay was on hands and knees. So there I stayed, rocking back and forth.
A nurse brought up that my water had been broken for nearly 18 hours and said it was probably time to start IV antibiotics. No, I said. No IV. OK, she said. I hit transition hard and fast at probably 3:30 or 4AM. I wasn't expecting it, didn't know what to expect from it. It was awful. I yelled at my mom to stop talking me through contractions. I yelled at my midwife to get her damn hands off my labia. I yelled at my boyfriend to wake the hell up (granted it was really time for that). I was miserable. Asked for nubain to take the edge off and my midwife kind of laughed... she knew what was up. It was transition and it would pass. Talked me through it and didn't even consider getting someone to pull the drug. She was right. I didn't want it. Made it through transition - and then it was time to push.
I don't exactly know how long I pushed. Think it was in the realm of 3 hours. Nobody would tell me how long it had been when I asked. It was hard. So hard.Ready to give up ready to quit and take a nap and try again later. Asked my midwife at one point how much longer it was going to take. She said "if you really wanted to you'd be done by now" and I realized it was ME who was in control... I had to make the choice. I had to try harder. So I did. PUSH!!! And he was right there. They told me I could reach down and touch his head but I was on hands and knees and thought I'd fall over if I moved a hand. PUSH!!! Like my life depended on it. PUSH!!! He finally arrived at 7:01AM, 21 hours after my water broke, 9lbs even and perfect as could be. No tearing, no complications, not a single medication.
The moment it was over I rolled over and he was placed on my chest still attached to the cord. Skin to skin and we looked at each other and I was like, "hey, I know you!!" I didn't hurt anymore. I felt like the most powerful person in the world. I had my boy, all I ever wanted, and it was the best feeling I ever felt. He was kinda blue (not that I noticed) so the midwife took him to rub his chest and limbs to get some oxygen to his tissues and then gave him back to me and I latched him to my breast for the first time. We've been best buddies ever since.

At 39 weeks, my doc said that she suggested induced labor because I was only dilated to 1 and the baby seemed way too large already. So at 39 weeks and 5 days I went into the hospital and by 4 pm I was started on a cervix thinner. By 4 am the next morning I dilated to 1.5 so they started me on potosin. By noon I hadn't dilated anymore so the doc broke my water with a ruler looking thing. By 5 I only dilated to 3 so the doc got me ready for surgery. At 530 I went into a room meant for section and my baby was out by 6:06. They took her for test while my husband followed while they delivered the afterbirth and stitch me back up. I met my baby in the recovery room.

With my first I was admitted over night because baby failed stress test & my ob stripped my membranes. I was having mild contractions but nothing major at all. That morning @ 6 am I went into l&d & I had my baby @ 11 49am. They broke my water and started ne on pitocin, then the contractions started.  I got an epidural & bam baby came out in like 5min.
With my second,  my water broke with no contractions. I went to l&d & was admitted around 7pm. I was still about 3to 4cm so they put me on pitocin & I tried to make it natural,  but I lasted up until about 1am.I got the epidural, & bam like 5 min later baby was ready to come out. 5 more minutes & she was here. I forget the time exactly. I got it written somewhere lol

I was in labor for 27 hours. Everything went well except I had to get the epidural 8 cm dilated so I could get some sleep. I slept for about 4 hours then woke up and by then, I pushed for about 15 mins and my son was out! I needed stitches because he tore me but besides that, everything was great.

My daughter is 19 months currently and from when I felt my first contraction to when I gave birth was 14 hours but I was in the hospital for 12. I started feeling contractions around 4 am and at 5 am my water broke in my bathroom. About 6 am we got to the hospital and after a few hours my contractions werent consistent and were practically not there. They started me on pitocin then. I was bed ridden because they were monitoring baby vaginally (i had wires up there) and could only go to the bathroom and back. I ended up getting the epidural at 8 cm and I slept for 2 hours. I woke up with the feeling to push and they had me wait about a half hour or so so that she could make her way down on her own a little bit. I pushed for a contraction with the nurse and at that point little one was practically crowning. They hurried and called the doctor and he get dressed right away and one more push and she was out. I needed 2-3 stitches.
