quick question

is it okay to take meds for herpes while ur pregnant my doc says no...but whenever i try to quit i break out horrible! wht can i do thats more natural? trying to conceive ;))

My sil has this but has never had a breakout. Her obgyn treat her but only in the third trimester. Could be because it wasn't safe to treat until then or because she never had an outbreak,I'm not real sure. I would talk with your Dr.


Oh and BTW she has delivered 3 very healthy babies naturally since her diagnoses!

thanks everyone! :) i appreciate the input ,.im going to try to slowly ween myself off the anti-viral ..i know women have more breakouts with periods so maybe if i dont have to worry about it if i do get pregnant :) hope so!

Have you talked to your doctor about any alternative medicines that are safe for pregnancy?

they are genital :( ive had it for 2 yrs now,its getting a little better,but whenever i quit the meds its comes right back :/ im 31 now so id like to have kids soon..

it depends on where the herpes is?...if its a cold sore then there are med that are safe if its somewhere else then i would seriously consider getting treatment before you even consider making a baby as it can be passed to your baby through child birth...good luck
