quite a predicament..need advice asap!

so i have a situation that i need to talk about...and i need advice/experiences/etc...
me and the father of ariana are getting married on monday. im currently on medicaid for medical insurance. he just recently got hired at a new job, and he is still unsure as to when he will be able to take out family insurance and how long it will be before it comes into effect.
his income is too high for medicaid.
does anyone know if medicaid is going to drop me immediately after i get married? do you think the hospital would hold medical bills until his family insurance is in effect?
i am 7 months pregnant and my doctor's visits are becoming more frequent now, and we're very worried about what is going to happen.

Is it pregnancy medicaid or just medicaid.  If it is preggo medi  then they will not drop you at all.  If it is medicaid you have to report the change immediately or face fraud.  If there is anyway that you guys can put off getting married, then I would.  I know that is horrible to suggest but you have to remember all the doc bills plus what is going to be charged by the hospital.  It is very expensive to have a baby.  I am sorry you are faced with this situation.  I wish there were better advice.  Maybe you should talk to your social worker to be doubly sure.

I don't think that they will drop you as soon as you get married. You have to report changes to medicaid so I would say wait to report the change until you are sure that your insurance is going to kick in (sorry if it sounds deceitful) but I know that you have yours and your baby's health in mind :)))
