really bad heartburn

any tips on how to get rid of heartburn? it wakes me up during the night first pregnancy so im unsure what I can take. i am 11weeks today

Tums never worked for me, but pepacid worked wonderful for my all day acid reflux!

I have it really bad and have to take Prilosec every night before bed, it would wake me up during the night and I've throne up a couple times because of it, since I started taking Prilosec it's been gone and I'm super thankful!! Tums only worked for a little bit and then it's come right back

Tums... of its that bad your Dr can prescribe pepcid

I have heard that mixing baking soda with water is supposed to work wonders. The doctor also told me that Maylox is a liquid that should work well also.

I hate taking the pills and that works so thats what I do lol.

Sit yourself up. lying flat alows acid to come back up since the closing valve is relaxed.
If you cant sleep slightly propped up, just sit up for a few minutes and drink some water and give it a minute to settle before lying back down
