My boyfriend wants to name our baby after him if it's a boy... I'm completely against it... I want him to have his own now not his father's. I don't care for juniors. Then he wanted his name to be after his dying uncle... I understand why but I told him the first name no because I want a say in the name as well and I feel like that would give him complete say. So I told him his uncle's name could be the baby's middle name. And we finally agreed. Thank goodness.
My boyfriend fought me to name our boys after him. I said no! I wanted my boys to have there own names.. he was mad at first but he got over it. His name is James so we compromised and gave them that for their middle names. :) good luck!
I am having a girl, but if I were to have a boy I would name him after my husband, I mean regardless if we make it to forever on not he would be the father of my son forever, I don't see a big deal but that's just my opinion :D
Oh yes ! My boyfriend wanted me to name the boy after him but thankfully were having a girl I just feel like my baby is hes or her own individual and thats why deserves her own name and I dont want to name her after nobody. But from the start I told him I dont want to name him after him ! Even though he kept saying "yeah we are naming him that" ... Buy yay its a girl! Lol
My fiancé wants the baby to be a junior if its a boy and I don't. Thankfully I was told its a girl, which I really wanted. But I was told that at 13 weeks so its not set in stone. I like his name but I just want my baby to have its own name. And I know he will be upset if it turns out to be a boy at the 20 week sono and we dont name it after him but it's my baby too and a name is important. Sometimes I don't understand why men want their kids name after them. I mean, in some countries there are female juniors but for the most part women don't demand that their daughter be named after them. And the fact that alot men do demand that seems almost kind of conceited to me! If you don't want to, then I wouldn't. If he just wants the initials the same then I don't think that's a big deal because there are alot of names that begin with those initials but if he wants his actual first name used and you don't then I would tell him that because its your baby as well and that's going to be the name you call your baby for the rest of your life
You can always change your childs name...
Thank You That Is A Good Way To Look At It
And I'm 24 Weeks Btw So The Time Is Coming Family Is Already Mad Cause I Haven't Picked A name
I would at least give the baby your boyfriends last name. Initials would be okay too if it were me. Think of it this way, even if you two split up, he is still your baby's father and that will not change.
