Babies r us is awesome they give you a checklist and how many of each to ask for!
Stuff for babies is sooo expensive. We got our buggy Silver Cross that was on sale and it can work as a moses basket and works for few years. Our furniture we got from ex display from same shop. I think that's the most expensive stuff and we r paying off a bit every 2 weeks. Some baby gear we got from family and friends like some basics clothes. Car seat I think is essential as well.
I'm seriously just thinking about getting a pack n play, a car seat/stroller duo, and all the basic onesies, socks, diapers, wipes, bath soaps and lotions, a bathtub, bottles to store breast milk, and an electric pump. Oh and receiving blankets, bibs, and a plush blankie.
Im hoping that January sale will save me some £££ ;) Im due in Feb
Oh definitely. And I'm really counting on my baby shower lol
i told my mom i wanted to go shopping already nd she said i should hold off with most things until after my baby shower.... cuz ill get alot of stuff at my baby shower... but i honestly dnt think yu could ever get enough like soaps, lotions, baby qtips, baby nail clippers, wipes, bath towels nd wash cloths,pacifiers..... like lil things like that i dnt think yu could ever run out... im juss ganna hold off on clothes till after my baby shower...
I've been splurging on clothes lol everytime I see something with monkeys on it I go absolutely crazy and make the excuse "orion can never have too many clothes" lol he's going to have more clothes than my whole family combined if I keep going at this rate lol
haha thats why im trying to stay away from stores with clothes! even if i buy one thing i will be happy... if not i leave the store upset... like today i tried gettin my mom to go to the mall nd shes like no yu juss wanna buy stuff wen yu should wait haha... i dnt wanna wait but i guess mothers no wats best?
Lol definitely. My mom has talked a lot of reasoning into me when it comes to buying stuff.
Some stuff you can get used or just get the basic. Like those little bathtubs.. You only use them a short while. I used my bouncey seat alot. Couldn't live without that. You don't have to get it all at once either. Spread it out so it seems less daunting. Sometimes people just give you their old stuff or you can borrow stuff. That helps
yea my mom has too.... shes like wen i get my taxes were ganna buy everything! even the stuff shes ganna need wen shes a bit older like the high chair, walker, lil gates nd stuff like that so we dnt have to get it later we already have it.... im juss like okayy watever yu sayy haha i cnt argue if shes the one that wants to buy it
Tax season is really going to save my butt with the larger items. A basic electronic breast pump is $200! Ridiculous!
do yu get wic? or are yu goin too? wen i went to sign up fur it the lady said if i breatsfeed 100% they will give me a new breast pump thats worth $700 supposably
Yeah I get WIC, and I didn't know that.
Yes ! I didn't buy anythin until after my shower .. I actually got a pack n play & stroller / car seat duo but there was a car seat safety class I took that gave me a car seat free wen I finished & it's really nice .. Yu shuld see if they have it where yu live
yu should ask them at yur next appointment.... the lady told me they really support breatsfeeding thats why they give them out... i honestly dnt no if every state does it but she told me that
Wic does the same thing in OR one pump for all your pregnancies it's a super nice one too. Both my sis and sis in law have them and love them.
The pump w wic depends on where you live. Here in Illinois they don't do that. But check target I got an electric single one for 40$
thanks yall! and is the pump that WIC provides a hand pump or electric? and I'm in south carolina, so I'll have to call the WIC office and see if they provide one, or at least a discount on one. I know you can buy pumps here from the hospital for a discounted price, and even though they change all the tubing and stuff, I really don't want a used pump for sanitary purposes.
i believe electric if she said its worth $700 haha but who really nos
There was a place my wic nurse could refer me to but it was a hand pump and my mom said you don't even wanna mess w that lol
well hopefully WIC will provide something here, seeing as how they try to promote breast feeding so much. either way, I'm breast feeding.lol
Electric and the one in Oregon is 300$
