bumpers in crib

I'm a ftm. Was just wondering how you mama's feel about the bumper pads for the crib. I got a sheet set and it came with bumpers. Not sure if I should put them on.

I used them from day one and just made sure when she went to sleep at first she was in the middle of the bed. Id be more worried now with her moving around than at first.

Bumpers aren't really considered safe, however I know lots of people that just wait until 4-6months (when baby has more head control) to use the bumpers. I personally will be getting a breathable mesh one.
