9 lb baby?

Had my weekly ultrasound and my son is measuring 9 lbs at 38 weeks...his head is still high up and at my 37 week my cervix was too. I am wondering if any ladies have experienced similar measurements and how it all turned out (did you get induced? How much did the baby weigh? C section or vaginal birth?)

Jesus I just don't know what to expect here. I know baby being in the womb as long as possible is best in most situations. I wish my appt was today so I knew what they had in mind already gaww!

At 40+1 they said baby weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces, but baby was born at 8 pounds 5 ounces at 41+2. I got induced for being overdue and ended up with a section because baby had a bowel movement, his heart rate kept dropping, and he had the cord around his neck 3 times. It was intense.

Ok that's what I was thinking about the accuracy too. But they will probably say because I have gestational diabetes that I should be induced...:/

My blood sugar has been monitored since 32 weeks. I've maybe had 3 or 4 "high" sugars (above 129)...but my fasting sugars are always great. Goal is fasting sugar <100 and 2 hours after meals <129

At 35.2 baby measured 6 lbs 15 oz I haven't delivered yet but dr scheduled c section due to complications plus him being "big". I'll let you know results when he's here.

At 37 weeks baby was weighing 7lbs 2oz I delivered at 40+4 and she was only 6lbs 8oz. I got induced because I was completely closed and still a 0. My inducement didn't go well I was dilating verrry slowly so I chose to have a csection!

With my daugher they said she was weighing around 8lbs at 37 weeks. I delivered her on my due date (so 40 weeks exactly) & she only weighed 6lb 10oz so I don't think they're always very accurate about weight estimates
