So many bad stories about mirena here! I have to say it was great for me! No complaints here! I suffer with very heavy periods and it worked a treat, i still had regular af's but very very light, like my first day one pad did me all day, rather than  a pad an hour without mirena!
i never experienced any side effects from it, so for me i can't rate it highly enough. :D

I too had mirena because I was breastfeeding and had it removed a month later because I never quit bleeding! After 6 weeks of postpartum bleeding I was fed up! The docs were not happy about removing and tried to talk me into keeping it. Said bleeding is normal for first 6 months!!! Don't go on loestrin 24. I took it religiously at the same time.. Never missed a pill, and still got pregnant!!!!

I had mirena and loved it but I also had it place properly.  My period was never more than 3 days long and all I had to wear was a pantyliner.  I had mine out in March and got my BFP in April.  I will tell you this...when you get the Mirena out you have really bad pg symptoms, so you are probably just going through the normal phantom pg symptoms that comes w/ having mirena removed.

I am definitely not getting it now!  I"m still breastfeeding and was going to get it as soon as my period finally did come, but now I'm refusing!  Even if it means taking the pill and missing it by accident and having another baby now! lol  Too many horror stories!!

Ugh I hated Mirena too. I doubt you are pregnant though because at this early a baby would he well below the belly button and probably not even past the pubic bone. Also the earliest you'll feel movement and its only in rare cases is as low as 13 weeks.

thats good NEVER get the mirena i dont care what any one says it SSUUCCKKSS the drs make it out like its awsome saying no ppain or period but they dont tell you your hair falls out ur period will not stop at all when its in (i mean pad or tampon every day) back pain mood swings worse than pregnancy migrains chills fever these are just a few that i got when i was on it but the experiance can be differant i heard (by very few) that its the best thing they ever did. And if its not put in right it can get stuck in your uterus it took the dr 1hr to get it out 1hr no pain meds and it felt worse than any contraction i have ever had birth for me was a breeze compared to the extraction of the mirena from my uterus.

Just saw this post, I was thinking gas too.  I now currently I"m NOT pregnant, and I feel what I sometimes think feels like a baby moving, but I know it's just gas, and yes, it can happen for that long.  I have heard multiple horror stories about the mirena!  My sister-in-law had the SAME thing happen to her as well!!!  I was going to get it too, now that I hear another story, I'm not gonna!!!
