You guys are lucky :/ I only had 1 ultrasound at 18 weeks then I paid when I was 32w for a 3d/4d. Which I'm glad I did. Got to see her cute chubby cheeks!

I got 3 scans because the third was to measure the size of the baby at 32 weeks. But that's all I get they said. Only if it is medically necessary u get another one.

I got one at 8,12,and 20 weeks. I got one at 32 weeks because he wasn't moving a lot.

In the uk we only get two scans.12weeks and 20weeks.unless something is wrong with baby.
Midwife check up can tell if things are going normal or not eg postion of baby.alot of fluid or not.
As your pregnancy progresses you should keep a kick chart.

They only allow two as it's expensive to run and so many expectant mothers as well. I am lucky tbh as having twins who share a placenta (which isn't lucky in all honesty) & seeing them fortnightly as it can lead to severe complications. if they had any worries about the development they would pick up on it and arrange further scans. my midwife told me this before I went for my first scan as I panicked after finding out you normally only get two. If you do get extremely concerned you can sometimes request one and they may comply. Or my mum used to say she had a fall, bad I know but she got a scan after trying to request one and being rejected.

I never understood why they are so stingy with ultra sounds. You won't know.if there is something wrong with the baby unless you do a sound

Ive only had 2 also, im 37 weeks: the worst part was that baby was moving alot and could not see clearly if it was a boy or girl, he said "it looks like mb a girl but it keeps moving",, :-(
