Ok so excuse me for a second because this is going to sound really bad. Ok so basically i don't feel like having a baby shower but i still want the gifts. Ok so here goes my friend was supposed plan the baby shower for me but now she is not. I already told everybody about it and the date and made my registry and every thing. But now I'm not in the mood and have no help but I'm doing not so well financially and need the gifts. :( idk what to do

I had a party basically at a restaurant where we reserved tables, everyone payed for their own meal but me lol and everyone brought gifts. After the dinner,gift opening and cake ppl got to go upstairs where there is a dance floor,band. It wasn't bar so everyone drank and had a good time. So not a normal baby shower but I had lots of fun and had grey company while getting awesome gifts. No clean up time and everyone had a blast.

I had a baby get together..no games no nothing because my committee (sister and mom) got to pre occupied to plan anything like food and games and decorations so i got 2 gift cards (both equaled $25 together) and if sometime brought a package of diapers they got 1 ticket and a box they got 2 and were entered to win. Plus i got cheap little prizes for runners up. I spent a whole $28 lol. There was chips and little finger food and everyone just sat around and talked:) nothing fancy. Good luck hunn i gore things go really good and you get all the things you need for baby

Just consider it a get together not a shower lol. No need to get stressed out. People come, you make coffee, you chat about babies until your blue in the face, thank them for any gifts. I think you should consider yourself lucky. I would love to have friends to invite for something like that, but it's just my husband and I and he ***** at baby talk lol
