selfish or not?

So I am 20 years old, I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow.  I still haven't had a baby shower, I don't know if my mom will make me one. But I was thinking, I have a 24 year old sister, and I would be really upset if my mom were to make her one and not me. My mom always has done so much for my sister. Im always the one left behind or even forgotten. This will be her first grandson. Am I being selfish or something to get upset if my sister were to get a baby shower and not me?

I agree.  You can ask your mom and say that you are hoping to have a shower and was wondering what her plans were. It would be nice if she AND your sister threw your shower for you.  My sister threw mine for my best buddies and my family and my husband's sister threw it for me for that side of the family.  I would just ask either of them if they have any plans for it because you'd be so excited to have one and will help if they do.  If they don't, throw yourself one,  Make it a dessert and punch shower, nothing elaborate.  Easy to do on a budget.

Sorry they are letting you down.  Yes, I think it would be hurtful to have a shower for one daughter but not the other.  good luck sweetie

Sorry, I hit the post button too quick.. she may not know how you feel and that you expect her to throw you one. I defiantly dont expect anyone to throw me one. But if I wanted one I would definitely speak up about it or do it myself.

Just ask her if she's going to throw you one, or start planning one and ask her to help. Its nit selfish.
