I plan on waiting till my 6 week check up. But I'm wondering
Does it hurt? I'm extremely scared and I know my bf is gonna wanna do it once he knows we've been approved to

I would wait until you feel comfortable.
I bled for 2 weeks after my c section, and stopped for a week, then bled for 3-4 more weeks. during the 'week off' (lol) we tried, and I was so scared it was going to hurt, that I wasn't relaxed at all, and obviously the more tense down there you are, the more painful it's bound to be.
he has to be patient with you. regardless of how you have the baby, it's a lot on your body.

My husband and i had sex the first time the day literally before my appt. I barely stopped bleeding the day before also. He sad the doc would apporve anyway that its a green light lol. Anyway not painful i would say but very uncomfortable. But i got over that within a week maybe 2 we were back to normal :p

I didn't tear or anything and I was so eager that I had sex 2 weeks postpartum. Lol. I think it depends on your situation, whether you tear or not or whether you get stitches or not. For me the first time again didn't hurt but after I was uncomfortable and my pelvic bone felt a little bruised. This is tmi but when I had my son he crowned for close to an hour... Which was good because I didn't tear since he slowly came out, but idk if it's just me but my clit region feels bruised ever since. It's not painful at all but sometimes after sex it's just slightly uncomfortable. But the sex itself didn't hurt for me (:
