Membrane sweep?

So my doctor told me that if by my next appointment i havent gone into labor that she'll do a membrane sweep. Ill be 40 weeks and 4 days. Who has got this done ? Is it painful ? & How good did it work ? Im just soo nervous. I want my baby boy to come on his own, but my due date is in 3 days and i just dont feel like hes coming soon/:

It will work of the body is ready! ive done it twice now and nothing. It feels just like cervix exam, maybe a little rougher, depends on your dr. Just uncomfortable w some pressure, not painful in my case. All it did to me is gave some crams n mucus plug came out. They do it every week now n it doesn't work, the baby is not ready yet.
